A new $60 million fund called Oak Grove Ventures has been launched by alumni from some prominent crypto and fintech companies, with a focus on the convergence of Web3, artificial intelligence and biotech.
The team behind Oak Grove Ventures, based in Singapore, consists of some distinguished names such as Sally Wang, who used to work at Sino Global Capital (now Ryze Labs), Ethan Wang, the former tech lead of Libra, Shawn Shi, the co-founder of Alchemy Pay, and Michael Li, a former VP of Coinbase.
Oak Grove Ventures was formerly a family office and has a history of backing successful early-stage projects, having invested in more than 30 ventures in the past, according to the press release.
Among its disclosed investment portfolio are eight funds and 14 high-quality projects, including SpaceX and Neuralink.
