The controversial cryptocurrency gambling live streams will no longer be allowed on Twitch, which is owned by Amazon.com Inc., following an outcry against recent multi-million-dollar sponsorship deals secured by prominent Twitch celebrities. The live streaming gambling websites Stake.com, Rollbit, and Duelbits.com will be included in the ban, according to a Twitch platform statement on Twitter. Twitch added that streaming will be prohibited as these websites, “aren’t licensed either in the US or other jurisdictions that provide sufficient consumer protection.” The ban will start on October 18th this year.
