B2C2, a cryptocurrency liquidity provider, announced that clients can now trade over-the-counter options electronically, expanding on the “voice via chat” options trading that began a year ago. The 7-year-old firm, a subsidiary of Japanese financial firm SBI Holdings, claims that the Options Chain offering is a first for digital-asset markets, where players say they’re adapting to institutional investors’ growing interest in cryptocurrency. Over-the-counter trading occurs when transactions occur outside of exchanges, usually with greater flexibility in contract terms and credit acceptance.
