The Digital Currency Group (DCG) and its CEO, Barry Silbert, have asked for the consolidation of two class-action lawsuits stemming from alleged losses during the crypto winter. The defendants contended in a letter to United States District Judge Stefan Underhill in Connecticut that both cases “arise from the same facts, present overlapping legal issues, and propose nearly identical class definitions.” The defendants further contended that merging the cases was important to avoid conflicting decisions and increase judicial efficiency. The defendants informed Underhill in the letter that they had requested that the case be transferred from New York to Connecticut by U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman.
