U.S. carmaker Ford is taking its first steps into the metaverse after filing 19 patent applications across its major auto offerings. Ford filed patent applications covering its major auto franchises like the Mustang, Bronco, F-150 lightning, etc. on Wednesday with the U.S. Patent and Trade Office. These patents cover Virtual cars, Ford NFTsm a virtual marketplace, and a Ford clothing brand. These patent filings come shortly after Ford let go of a large number of staff members a month ago.
