According to a court filing seen by Financial Post, Canadian Cryptocurrency trading platform Coinberry has accused about 50 users of siphoning bitcoin following a software malfunction back in 2020. Coinberry said it had lost 120 Bitcoin worth about $3 million dollars. The software glitch enabled the users to siphon off the bitcoins with Canadian dollars even though they were not yet transferred to their accounts. Coinberry added in the filing that many users have not yet returned back the assets they withdrew and hence the lawsuit. Coinberry is owned by Kevin O’Leary-backed WonderFi Technologies Inc.
