According to the state’s payment gateway, residents of Colorado can now use PayPal to pay state taxes with cryptocurrency. For an additional cost, the payment is made through PayPal’s cryptocurrency hub. According to a report from Axios, which is based on a speech Gov. Jared Polis gave on Monday in Denver, residents have the option of using cryptocurrency to pay for personal income tax, company income tax, severance tax, and withholding tax. Other U.S. states have explored accepting cryptocurrency for tax payments, including Florida and Ohio.
