The White House on Friday released a first-ever ‘Comprehensive Framework for the responsible development of Digital Assets’ for regulation and development in the cryptocurrency market space. The framework outlines recommendations and findings from multiple U.S. federal agencies and their six-month-long research in the crypto market. President Joe Biden issued an executive order in March to the agencies to research the crypto space to better regulate the space and further develop the space. The administration got nine reports from various agencies and highlighted concerns that are wide-ranging. The framework also emphasizes the role of the U.S. Securities and Exchanges Commission and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission in coordinating efforts to regulate the space.
