According to a new securities filing on Thursday, Core Scientific will not make debt payments due in October and November. On Thursday morning, shares of the bitcoin mining company were down as much as 76%. Core stated that it is exploring capital structure alternatives and is working with financial and legal advisers, but that it may have to file for bankruptcy, in which case common stock holders would lose their entire investment.
