The self-described “crypto king” of Canada, Aiden Pleterski, 23, has had five luxurious vehicles seized, including two BMWs, two McLarens, and a Lamborghini, as part of bankruptcy proceedings. At least two legal cases have been filed against Pleterski and his business, AP Private Equity Limited, after 140 people claimed to have deposited a total of $35 million with Pleterski. Pleterski’s online presence, which included pictures of the 23-year-old on private aircraft and next to expensive cars, contributed to the impression that he knew what he was doing and gave those people the impression they were investing in cryptocurrencies.
