Senator Elizabeth Warren’s Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act has gained the backing of nine more US Senators, her office announced in a statement.
The bill aims to prevent the use of digital assets for money laundering and terrorism financing.
The new supporters include Democratic Senators Gary Peters, Dick Durbin, Tina Smith, Jeanne Shaheen, Bob Casey, Richard Blumenthal, Michael Bennet and Catherine Cortez Masto, as well as independent Senator Angus King.
Peters and Durbin are the chairs of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee, respectively.
Warren expressed her gratitude to the bipartisan coalition for joining her in this effort.
