Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has now made at least two significant contributions to aid victims of last week’s devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. On February 6, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria. Its death toll has risen to 33,000, making it one of the world’s deadliest in decades. The Ethereum co-founder has been one of many people who have actively donated Ethereum to help with relief efforts in Turkey this week. According to blockchain security firm PeckShield, his most recent donation was on Feb. 12 for 50 ETH, or approximately $77,000, sent to Anka Relief.
