The complete language of the historic Markets in Crypto Assets legislation has been finalized by the European Union. Although the text is still officially up for comments, insiders briefed on the negotiations told CoinDesk on Wednesday that it has been finished. A leaked draught of the bill, dated Sept. 20, and confirmed by CoinDesk advises EU enforcers to prioritize “content over form” when enforcing the law, suggesting some assets classified as NFTs may be subject to its rules. The EU policymakers agreed upon this landmark legislation back in July this year.
