According to a recent disclosure to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, former U.S. president Donald Trump owns up to $500,000 worth of Ethereum, a popular cryptocurrency.
Trump, who is seeking to return to the White House in 2024, has been known for his negative views on crypto.
However, he launched a series of digital collectibles called non-fungible tokens (NFTs) last year, featuring his own images.
The first series of these NFT cards sold out in hours, and he made another series in April, which also sold out quickly. However, the demand for these cards has since declined.
The filings revealed that Trump earned between $500,000 and $1 million from this venture.
