Gemini Trust Co, a cryptocurrency exchange platform, on Friday said that they’ve named Christopher Mariadason, an insider, as the new Compliance Officer for the company. Mariadason became a part of Gemini in June last year and has been working as the head of program governance for the company. He is the latest change in Gemini’s risk and compliance team in recent few months. Mariadason is set to replace Elena Hughes, who became the Compliance Officer in April 2021. This promotion comes after Gemini exchange let go of 10% of its staff back in June this year, citing a slowdown in the cryptocurrency space.
