India’s finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced on Tuesday that the world is working together to create a common set of rules for crypto assets.
She said that without global co-operation, it would be hard to control the fast-growing and volatile cryptocurrency market.
She revealed that India, as the current leader of the G20 group of nations, has raised some important questions about how to regulate or understand the need for a framework for crypto assets.
She spoke at an event in Mumbai, the country’s financial hub, and said that the discussions are ongoing.
