The Federal Bureau of Investigation said on Monday that two North Korean hacker groups, the Lazarus Group and APT38, were responsible for the theft of $100 million from U.S. crypto firm Harmony’s Horizon bridge last June. The groups used a privacy protocol called Railgun on Jan. 13 to launder over $60 million in ethereum stolen during the June theft, according to an FBI statement. According to the FBI, a portion of the stolen ethereum was later sent to several virtual asset providers and converted to bitcoin.
