SuperRare Labs, the company behind the NFT marketplace SuperRare, became the latest crypto player to announce job cuts on Friday, announcing a 30% reduction in its workforce. The announcement was made by SuperRare CEO John Crain, who tweeted a message he sent to Slack employees. Crain blamed the reduction on aggressive growth and over-hiring, saying he accepts “full responsibility for this mistake.” “To correct course, we’ve made the difficult decision to rightsize our team, ensuring that SuperRare Labs can continue serving our community of artists, collectors, and curators while remaining the destination for the world’s best cryptoart,” he wrote.
