The head of trading and investment banking at Nomura Holdings Inc., Steve Ashley, is leaving his position to join the brokerage’s cryptocurrency division in a new capacity. The largest brokerage in Japan announced in a statement that Christopher Willcox will take over for Ashley as president of Nomura’s wholesale division on October 1. Willcox joined Nomura as co-chief executive officer of its Americas division last year, after the company changed its management following the bankruptcy of Archegos.
