Robinhood Markets (HOOD) reported $39 million in crypto trading revenue in the fourth quarter, a 24% decrease from $51 million in the third quarter. The company also announced that its board of directors had authorised it to pursue purchasing all or most of the 55 million shares purchased in May 2022 by a holding company for former FTX executives Sam Bankman-Fried and Gary Wang, and that it had cancelled nearly $500 million in share-based compensation.
