Terraform Labs has recruited a new CEO while its co-founder, Do Kwon, is facing extradition to South Korea or the United States from a jail cell in Montenegro.
Kwon is still the majority shareholder of Terra. According to The Wall Street Journal, Terra’s new CEO is US citizen Chris Amani.
Amani has worked at Terra as a chief operating officer and chief financial officer since 2021.
He was previously the CEO of the scheduling solution company Humanity. Amani has been Terra’s CEO since April 2023, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Amani informed journalists that the company does not intend to produce any stablecoins and will instead concentrate on other products.
