A U.S. Judge in New York on Tuesday ordered Tether to submit financial information linked to the backing of USDT. This order was done as part of a lawsuit alleging that Tether colluded to issue USDT as part of a conspiracy to boost the price of bitcoin. The order compels Tether to disclose “general ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow statements, and profit and loss statements,” as well as records of any cryptocurrency or other stablecoin trades or transfers by Tether, including information regarding the timing of the trades. It also requires Tether to disclose information on its accounts at Bitfinex, Poloniex, and Bittrex.
