According to CoinDesk, the FBI is looking into the 3Commas data breach. The investigation follows weeks of criticism from users of the Estonia-based crypto trading service, who claim the CEO ignored warning signs that the platform had leaked user data on multiple occasions. An anonymous person leaked 100,000 Binance and KuCoin API keys linked to 3Commas this week. Two 3Commas users told CoinDesk on Thursday that they had been contacted by agents from the FBI’s Cincinnati Field Office in connection with the leak. Over the last few months, dozens of 3Commas users discovered that the service had traded away funds on crypto exchanges they’d linked to it without their knowledge. Initially, 3Commas claimed that these users were most likely phished and insisted that the platform was not compromised.
