To date, the US Securities and Exchange Commission has not approved any spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) listings, according to the regulator’s commissioner Mark Uyeda, speaking on the sidelines of a forum in Singapore on Wednesday. “We’ve had a number of applications… none of which have been approved to date,” Uyeda said from Singapore, where he was speaking at the ICI Global Asset Management Asia Forum. The SEC delayed a decision earlier this month on whether to allow stock picker Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest and crypto investment product firm 21Shares US to list and trade on Cboe Global Markets until January 27.
