The political turmoil in the United Kingdom will not affect crypto’s bright future in the country, according to lawmaker Lisa Cameron. Even though voters may elect new leaders in the next election, which is currently scheduled for 2025 but could occur sooner, Cameron stated in an interview with CoinDesk that she is confident the United Kingdom will maintain a welcoming attitude toward cryptocurrency. Concerns in the industry about how crypto will be treated under new leadership may stem from remarks made by recently appointed Prime Minister Rishi Sunak about his ambitions to turn the country into a crypto hub.
