At least hundreds of customers who have been harmed by the failures of FTX, Celsius Network LLC, and Voyager Digital Ltd. are looking to sell their cryptocurrency claims at steep discounts so they don’t have to wait months or even years to see what they might recover as the platforms file for bankruptcy. Customers and other creditors with approximately $1 billion in FTX claims and approximately $100 million in Celsius claims have expressed interest in selling them through Cherokee Acquisition, a bankruptcy claims broker and buyer, according to the firm. Nearly 500 FTX, Celsius, and Voyager users have listed claims worth approximately $126 million for sale on Xclaim Inc., a bankruptcy claims trading startup that recently shifted its focus to providing a platform for buying and selling crypto claims. According to the company, Xclaim has so far listed approximately $91.7 million in FTX customer claims.
