Vitalik Buterin is a Russian-Canadian software developer and cryptocurrency researcher best known as the co-founder of Ethereum.
Buterin first became interested in cryptocurrency in 2011 and soon after co-founded Bitcoin Magazine, a publication dedicated to covering the development and analysis of the cryptocurrency market. In 2013, he published a white paper proposing the development of Ethereum, which would later become the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
