The government has urged Judge Lewis Kaplan to reject the plea by Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) and his lawyers for a temporary bail before his trial on Oct. 3.
The plea was filed on Sept. 25 and the judge will hear both sides’ arguments later today.
In a letter sent to the judge on Sept. 27, the government argued that SBF’s release would pose a danger, given his previous actions.
The government also dismissed SBF’s claim that he needs to be released to prepare his defense effectively.
