Coca-Cola has launched eight different NFTs that display a mix of classic and modern art on Base, a Layer 2 network for Ethereum powered by Coinbase.
The NFTs are part of Coinbase’s “Onchain Summer” campaign, which celebrates various on-chain projects in the fields of art, gaming and music that use Base.
The NFTs feature famous artworks such as “The Scream” and “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” combined with contemporary pieces by artists like Aket and Vikram Kushwah, all featuring the iconic Coca-Cola bottle.
The NFTs are priced between 0.0011 ETH and 0.014 ETH, and some of them are being sold on OpenSea for less than the mint price even though they are being minted using the mint.fun platform. The minting process ended on Wednesday, with over 50,000 NFTs created.
This is not Coca-Cola’s first foray into NFTs, as the company previously auctioned unique NFTs in 2021, raising over $575,000 for charity. They also introduced collectibles for Pride Month in 2022.
