The DOJ prosecutors want to block all the witnesses that FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has proposed, arguing that they have filed inadequate disclosures, have misleading credentials or have irrelevant testimonies, according to a filing on Monday night.
On the other hand, Bankman-Fried’s team seeks to exclude a financial analysis expert that the Department of Justice has proposed, claiming that his testimony may violate the rules.
These filings are part of the Daubert motions that were due on Monday, and they reveal the opposing views of the two teams on why some witnesses should not be allowed to testify when Bankman-Fried faces trial for fraud and conspiracy charges in about a month.
