Hootan Rashidifard, a former Caanan Partners investor and LinkedIn business operations manager, has launched Hash3, a $29M seed-stage crypto fund that aims to support visionary entrepreneurs building an open and permissionless future.
In a LinkedIn post on Tuesday, Rashidifard announced the news and shared his vision for the fund. “Today, I am launching Hash3, a $29M seed-stage crypto fund investing $250k-1M into passionate founders building an open and permissionless future,” he wrote.
Rashidifard is joined by a stellar team of advisors, including Surojit Chaterjee, the former Chief Product Officer at Coinbase, and Yuga Cohler, an engineer at Coinbase. Together, they bring a wealth of experience and expertise in the crypto and fintech space.
Hash3 is not just a passive investor. The fund actively helps its portfolio companies succeed by connecting them with a curated network of mentors who can offer guidance and solutions for specific early stage challenges.
The fund has already made 10 investments in promising crypto startups, such as EigenLayer, Ajna Labs, and Crossmint. These startups are focused on building innovative infrastructure and middleware solutions for the crypto ecosystem.
Hash3 was born out of a shared passion for crypto among Rashidifard, Chaterjee and Ramani Ramchandran. They wanted to create a fund that would empower ambitious founders to realize their vision and make a positive impact on the world.
In conclusion, Hash3 is “built for founders.”
