On Monday, crypto firm Mixin announced on social media platform X that it had suffered a major hack on Saturday that resulted in the loss of around $200 million worth of digital assets.

Mixin, which operates from Hong Kong according to its LinkedIn profile, said that its network’s cloud service provider was compromised by hackers who accessed some of its funds.
Mixin is a network that enables users to transfer various digital assets and claims to have one million users on its website.
Mixin said that it had temporarily suspended withdrawals from its network, but that transfers were still working and that it would resume normal services once the security issues were resolved.
It also said that it would reveal a plan for how to handle the lost assets in the future.
