Ripple, a cryptocurrency corporation based in the United States, announced its first significant purchase on Wednesday: Metaco, a crypto custody firm based in Switzerland. Metaco develops software that helps financial organisations to store and manage digital assets. Citi, BNP Paribas, and Societe Generale’s digital asset unit are among its clients. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse predicted growing demand for crypto custody services from institutional investors. “By focusing on infrastructure… you’re not really subject to the same gyrations of crypto winters,” he explained.”If you’re ultimately solving a clear problem at scale for these customers, there will be demand.”
