The hackers gained admin rights to an account that Nansen used to grant customer access to its platform.
The vendor, which Nansen did not name, is a reputable company that serves many Fortune 500 companies and other industry players for data management.
The breach exposed the email addresses of the affected users, as well as some password hashes and a few blockchain addresses.
Nansen said it has notified and advised those affected to change their passwords. It also assured that the wallet funds were not compromised by the incident.
