Wallet, a service provider that offers crypto transactions on the messaging app Telegram, has announced a new feature that allows merchants to accept bitcoin payments through their bots.
Wallet is a wallet app that runs on the Open Network (TON) blockchain, which was originally developed by Telegram.
Wallet users can already send and receive crypto currencies such as tether (USDT), bitcoin (BTC), and toncoin (TON) in their conversations with other users. Now, Wallet also supports creating and managing bots, which are automated accounts that can perform various tasks on Telegram.
Merchants can use bots to sell goods and services on Telegram and integrate bitcoin payments into their bots with Wallet.
For example, a merchant can create a bot that offers online courses and accept bitcoin payments from customers who want to enroll. The feature also supports refunds, invoices, and receipts.
Wallet launched its crypto service on Telegram more than a year ago, but it has not gained much traction among users.
