The Bitcoin Ordinals protocol’s developers have released a new update that aims to cure over 71,000 faulty or “cursed” inscriptions, allowing them to be traded. “Cursed inscriptions” were inscriptions that were formed by erroneous or purposeful usage of opcodes to create inscriptions, causing them to become invalid and unrecognised. On June 4, developers, including Twitter user Raphjaph, disclosed that the Ordinals protocol had been upgraded to version 0.6.0, the first step in indexing previously unrecognised inscriptions.
