South Korea published guidelines on Monday defining which cryptocurrencies would be subject to financial securities regulations. The move is part of an ongoing review of digital assets and the development of comprehensive sector regulations. The Financial Services Commission (FSC) of South Korea stated that blockchain-based tokens will be treated and regulated as securities if they meet the criteria outlined in the country’s Capital Markets Act.
